Kleintheater Luzern
Inclusive cultural sector – more inclusion on, behind and in front of the stage
Kleintheater Luzern has been working intensively on making its own operations more inclusive on various levels and ensuring the cultural participation of people with disabilities since 2019. It has now become clear that various approaches are needed to get things moving. By focussing on three specific action fields – human resource management, programming and public – Kleintheater Luzern would like to develop a box of ideas during the 23/24 season. This is designed to promote the cultural participation of people with disabilities and, at the same time, enable other cultural organisations that want to get involved in the area of inclusion to access previous experience more easily and create inclusive offerings more quickly.
The «Inclusive cultural sector» project aims to implement defined measures, such as permanently employing a person who is themselves affected and the institutionalisation of the Advisory Board, in order to help break down barriers more quickly and more sustainably – both at the workplace and in the event setting.
