compagnie O.: MULTIVERSE | neurodiversity in the arts
compagnie O. is a neurodiverse dance company based in Zurich and led by a neurodivergent director. It advocates neurodiversity as an artistic and structural principle as well as for equal opportunities in the performing arts.
«MULTIVERSE – neurodiversity in the performing arts» is compagnie O’s platform for knowledge-sharing, networking and exchange on the topic of neurodiversity in the performing arts. Neurodivergent artists face structural barriers in networking, promotion and touring that limit their career opportunities.
This is where MULTIVERSE comes in: in co-creative workshops, cultural practitioners and event organisers work together to develop tools and recommendations for action, which are then collated, edited and made publicly available in various digital and analogue formats.
The aim: a cultural landscape in which neurodivergent artists are equal and visible participants.

compagnie O. is a neurodiverse team led by neurodivergent individuals. In MULTIVERSE, they speak from the perspective of self-advocates with lived experience. All workshop participants are paid a fair wage. The tools and recommendations developed are available free of charge to the wider cultural landscape, even beyond the project’s duration. This creates sustainable structures that promote equal opportunities for neurodivergent artists.
