m2act Call for Projects 2026: Sharing is Caring – «Good Practices» for sustainable and fair cultural work
In 2026, a new chapter begins for m2act, Migros Culture Percentage’s funding and networking project for fair practice and sustainable structures in cultural work. After five years of focusing exclusively on the performing arts, m2act is expanding its scope. It will be providing financial and networking support to projects from even more artistic and cultural disciplines starting in 2026. New to the programme are: music, visual / fine arts, film, games, digital culture, literature & comics, spoken word and interdisciplinary arts.
In its 2026 call for projects, m2act invites cultural institutions, festivals, initiatives, production offices, companies, music, collectives, associations and other permanent structures to submit their creative and innovative ideas for making Switzerland’s cultural landscape fairer and more sustainable.
What exactly does m2act support?
- Five to eight projects will receive financial and content support for one year. The funding volume for all projects is CHF 150 000 and is allocated according to need.
- There is no need to reinvent the wheel. Funding is available for projects that have already developed approaches, processes or tools/methods and tested them in real life – i.e., «Good Practices».
- These «Good Practices» should be applied, shared and/or improved with at least one other group, organisation or institution.
- The funding scheme also allows recipients to develop a promising approach or process into a concrete tool before sharing and applying it.
- m2act supports projects that are realised co-creatively and inspire many cultural practitioners, whether cultural institutions, collectives, festivals or production offices.
What are «Good Practices»?
«Good Practices» are proven approaches, processes, methods and tools that contribute to a fairer and more sustainable cultural landscape. These can include databases, digital platforms, digital software, checklists, guidelines, workshops, rituals, dialogue formats, process support with experts, role plays, agreements and many other formats that contribute to greater fairness and sustainability in the cultural landscape. Inspiration and support can be found at m2act-Toolbox or in the projects already supported.
